Misook Choi completed an MSc in Development Studies Research at the London School of Economics and Political Science in the U.K., after she worked for seven years at the Korea Foundation; a public diplomacy organization affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea as a Senior Program Officer. Upon the completion of her master study, she moved to Kyrgyzstan and has developed a strong passion and dedication to drafting strategies for sustainable economic growth through continuous industrial upgrading in Central Asian countries. While doing research on the region, Misook taught ‘Development aid and Politics’ as an Assistant Professor at American University of Central Asia in Bishkek and presented at academic conference on the potential of industrial development and social policy mix for productive purposes. Her research interests include industrial policy and social policy, industrial upgrading and innovation, manufacturing and knowledge based industries and regional economic integration (Eurasian Economic Union).
